DGNB certificates for Züblin-Haus and Z3

DGNB certificates for Züblin-Haus and Z3

On November 4 Ed. Züblin AG, of Stuttgart, received two certificates from the German Society for Sustainable Building (DGNB): The Züblin-Haus (built in 1984) received the DGNB certificate in bronze, and office building Z3 (built in 2012) got the certificate in gold. For its building Z-2 designed by Eike Becker_Architekten (built in 2002) the Stuttgart-based company had already received the award in silver in 2009. Thus Züblin is the first, and currently the only, company in Germany that has received the DGNB quality award for every building in its company seat.

Following the words of welcome by Züblin board member Klaus Pöllath and by Michael Föll, First Mayor of the state capital of Stuttgart, Eike Becker delivered a speech entitled "Model Germany: honest and climate-neutral?“
Züblin is one of the first members of DGNB: In 2009 the Association did a pilot project and evaluated the building Z-2 created by Eike Becker_Architekten in the framework of the first application phase.
