Eike Becker live on ARD's “Morgenmagazin”

On Friday, April 24, 2026, ARD’s *Morgenmagazin* will broadcast live from Wasserstadt Havel in Berlin-Spandau. As part of the “MOMA unterwegs” segment, the show, hosted by Till Nassif, will focus on the topic “How can we create more affordable housing in Germany?”—from 5:30 to 9:00 a.m., with three live segments shortly after 6, 7, and 8 a.m.

Eike Becker will be on site as a guest to address the key questions surrounding affordable housing: Which building standards unnecessarily drive up housing costs? What types of housing does a changing society need? And do we need to rethink our expectations regarding comfort and amenities?

In addition to interviews with residents and tradespeople, the program will feature video segments and a conversation with the Federal Minister of Construction at the ARD studio in Berlin. The broadcast will thus illustrate how new, affordable housing is being created in Wasserstadt Havel—and what conditions are needed for this to happen more frequently across Germany.

The program will air live on Das Erste and will subsequently be available in the ARD media library.
