On November 15, 2025, funding was secured for the renovation and redevelopment of the historic Marstall site: €12 million from the federal government and €6 million from the Free State of Saxony.

This marks the start of the transformation into Forum Waldenburg – a cultural center of excellence for eastern Germany with a museum, depot, research institute, workshops, and rooms for education, catering, and accommodation.

A project by Bauherr Forum Waldenburg e.V., Dr. Sabine Tauscher, together with Eike Becker_Architekten – a strong sign of the power of architecture and culture.

The ceremonial handover by Minister President Michael Kretschmer and Member of the Bundestag Carsten Körber marks the beginning of a new phase: vision becomes reality.
