LOOP_SIDE: Planning application submitted

Each of the four architectural offices (BLK2, Kränzle+Fischer-Wasels, KCAP and Eike Becker_Architekten) designed the buildings within their own neighbourhood so that the respective architectural signature is clearly recognisable within a design framework. The solitary and angular houses as well as the brick façades, which vary in each individual neighbourhood, represent unifying elements. The "staircase" to the Rhine in the corner houses permits large roof terraces. Through "cantilevers", the buildings on the upper floors also slide into the Rheinuferpark optically. In the style of a city villa, the detached solitary houses – nestled in spacious residential courtyards with private gardens – are situated primarily facing the Rheinuferpark and the River Rhine. The newly emerging urban quarter appears as a park in its entirety. This creates new living space in the middle of greenery, which also benefits from the water location.
