NAMU gets planning permission

Clear the way for the largest timber hybrid high-rise in Germany: The city of Offenbach has now approved the construction plan for NAMU, designed by Eike Becker_Architekten. This paves the way for the construction of the over 120 metre high, largely climate-neutral skyscraper, making it one of the most modern and sustainable office buildings in the Rhine-Main region and in Germany. With NAMU, the renowned architectural firm from Berlin is not only creating a highly visible, visually exceptional landmark for the economically vibrant city of Offenbach directly on the banks of the Main, but is also setting a new benchmark in the field of sustainable and energy-efficient high-rise construction.

The 32-storey building with a gross floor area of around 60,000 square metres, designed by Eike Becker_Architekten in a timber hybrid construction, will primarily provide highly flexible and, above all, harmonious office floors, but also space for restaurants, public areas for meetings and exchanges, as well as space for recreation and plenty of greenery. The particularly positive energy balance in the high-rise building is ensured, among other things, by a façade technology that allows solar energy to be captured and a low-tech energy concept.
