THE B reinterprets the classic Berlin commercial courtyard and creates an innovative meeting place that harmoniously combines indoor and outdoor areas.
An inviting passageway from Revaler Strasse leads directly into a spacious inner courtyard with a variety of greenery, which provides space for restaurants, offices and businesses on the ground floor. This central meeting point forms the heart of the building, from which the upper floors are accessed via four separate entrances.
The striking façade of the five-storey office building thematises the grid of the building structure and clearly emphasises the storey ceilings. Sculpturally shaped frames characterise the lower floors, while the upper floors are accentuated by two-storey sheet metal frames. This horizontal and vertical organisation gives the façade a rhythmic and structured appearance. Staggered loggias fit into the grid and ensure a varied design. Their deeper recesses are an architectural feature that further differentiates the façade.
In the urban context, THE B blends harmoniously into the streetscape and at the same time makes a powerful architectural statement. The different depths of the façade elements create an elegant complexity through their shadow effect.
The five upper floors each offer around 3,330 m² of flexibly usable office space, complemented by loggias. The crowning glory is a roof terrace designed as a communal meeting point. It invites you to let your gaze wander over Friedrichshain and the Berlin skyline, to socialise or simply relax.
