Topping-out ceremony for the M50 in Berlin-Kreuzberg!

Following the successful gutting and partial demolition of the former post office check office, as well as the completion of the top floor ceiling and facade installation, project developer Art-Invest Real Estate celebrated the topping-out ceremony for the M50 – the central building in the “Die Macherei Berlin-Kreuzberg” district – on September 10.

The revitalized high-rise was officially inaugurated together with the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner. The former office tower is being transformed into one of Germany's most climate-friendly high-rises with a gross floor area of around 35,000 square meters above ground. We developed the design plans for the M50, which form the basis for the architectural, functional, and sustainable transformation of the building. The focus was on ecological revitalization, the integration of modern building technology, and the creative reinterpretation of the former postal check office.
Thanks to resource-saving renovation, comprehensive modernization measures, and a photovoltaic facade measuring around 764 square meters, a large part of the electricity requirement will be covered directly on site in the future – an important contribution to reducing CO? emissions.

We are delighted to be able to continue supporting the development of this forward-looking project.
