Competition Residential Development Fuchsbühl, Aichwald

With our design, we explicitly commit ourselves to building culture and thus to a high design quality with regard to architecture, living and the handling of public spaces and transitions to the adjacent landscape area.

The entire site is designed to be car-free. Only bicycles and pedestrians have direct access to the apartment entrances. The entrance to the underground parking garage is located at the western edge of the competition site. The apartments on the upper floors are accessed directly and barrier-free via a staircase with elevator in each case. All buildings are accessed by a connecting bicycle and pedestrian path. In this way, pedestrians make a further contribution to revitalizing the neighborhood. Common to all the buildings are high-quality, appropriately representative entrances with spacious stairwells. In addition to daylight and a view, they offer space to meet, linger, and chat. The planted open spaces also offer room for identification and communication. They enter into a direct relationship with the buildings.

In the new quarter, apartments are planned in a variety of forms. The mix of subsidized and privately financed housing has been fully implemented. A total of 120 apartments are planned. Of these, 50% are condominiums and 50% are rental apartments. Of these, 44% are subsidized apartments in accordance with the subsidy guidelines of the LWoFG.
