Eike Becker_Architekten won first prize in the competition for the new hotel for the VitaSol thermal spa in Bad Salzuflen. The hotel, planned as a modular timber construction, comprises 100 rooms and stands on a folded roof with a healing garden.
Two offset room wings contrast with the organic shape of the base. The geometry of the roof can be interpreted as a wave movement or hilly landscape, giving the impression that the room wings are gliding along the edge of the spa park.
The hotel is awarded a minimum standard of four stars and is directly connected to the thermal spa. Completion of the spa hotel is planned for the end of 2026.
